Angelo Mauceri, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, studied music at Ohio State University and University of Nevada at Las Vegas. His early experiences include solo percussionist with the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, New York, percussionist with the Cleveland Symphony Summer Orchestra, and many years as house percussionist with the Desert Inn Orchestra, Las Vegas, where he performed with Jerry Lewis, Sammy Davis, Jr., Milton Berle, Maurice Chevalier, Jimmy Durante, Bob Newhart, Andy Williams, Red Skelton and The Osmond Brothers.

Now in semi-retirement, Angelo continues to work at the Portland Art Museum, paints in his studio, plays music and walks his favorite dog, Julio.  Angelo lives in Portland, Oregon.

    Hi Angelo,
    I wanted to comment that these works display an interesting blend of historical artifact and artistic commentary, that somehow, also reveal something about the artist who made them. You always have had that amazing capacity to find art everywhere!
