In remembrance of the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War, Angelo Mauceri has prepared a series of artworks commemorating the historic event that created the country that the U.S. became. Focusing on the mid 19th century, his work reflects the mood and feelings that become the hallmarks of the American psyche that is reflected today. His working media includes photography, watercolor, acrylic and collage.
Angelo is a volunteer at Fort Vancouver National Park, in Washington State, where he teaches an “Introduction to the Drum” class. He also assists with the Lantern Series and Black Powder program.
His previous experiences include Solo Percussionist with the U.S. Military Academy Band at West Point, New York, 8 years at the Desert Inn Hotel in Las Vegas as House Percussionist, and he directed bands in public schools of California and Oregon.
